Michel Phelippeau

Michel Phelippeau is a French painter based in Grasse, Provence. He creates original oil paintings on wood and canvas, with a focus on the relationship between composition and color. Drawing on childhood memories of the galleries of the Louvre, his work is guided more by emotion than by likeness. His subjects range from portraits and intimate scenes to landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, figures, dancers, animals, and interiors.
