Michelle Michels

Michelle Michels – Instruction and Training is an equestrian business founded by horse professional Michelle Michels, who has been active in the horse world since 2006. Based in Numansdorp, the business combines riding instruction and horse training with a small private stable, Hoeve Michels. Michelle’s approach centers on the wellbeing of both horse and rider, with training guided by biomechanical understanding, harmony, and the belief that dressage should serve the horse. She also offers guidance on related aspects of horse care, including housing, feeding, and tack, drawing on her own knowledge and, where appropriate, input from other professionals.

Services include 45-minute private lessons at her location or the client’s, individual horse training, and horse boarding. The stable has a 20-by-60-metre dressage arena, a covered horse walker, a lunging circle, drained paddocks, and approximately two hectares of pasture. The facility prioritizes spacious stalls, regular forage, and weekday turnout service. Boarding is currently full, with a waiting list. Michelle’s equestrian background includes studies in horse care and ongoing instructor training.
