Michigan Pet Alliance (MPA) is a non-profit association of Michigan’s animal welfare organizations, working together to advocate for the use of industry best practices in Michigan animal shelters, home-based foster care rescue organizations, and any groups/organizations providing services for the well-being of companion animals. MPA's mission is to work in collaboration and speak with a single voice to eliminate abuse and neglect of Michigan’s companion animals and to save all healthy and treatable homeless companion animals through training, technical assistance, education and advocacy. MPA sets standards; provides training, education and assistance; and is a forum of idea exchange and support to colleagues in the compassionate lifesaving work. Uniting the voices of the animal welfare community, MPA works to affect change in state laws, regulation and local ordinances to improve the care and treatment of companion animals.

About Michigan Pet Alliance
Michigan Pet Alliance (MPA) is a Michigan-based nonprofit professional trade association representing animal welfare organizations and pet advocates. It brings together animal shelters, home-based rescue groups, and other organizations serving companion animals to promote industry best practices and improve the quality of care. Through collective advocacy, MPA works to advance state and local laws and regulations that strengthen animal welfare and help prevent cruelty.
The alliance supports its members with professional development, information, and opportunities to connect across Michigan’s animal welfare community. Its offerings include free Lunch & Learn webinars, online training, workshops, shelter and rescue training resources, and the annual One Voice conference and expo. Topics include community cat programs and preparing communities to protect animals during disasters. Members can also access data and reporting resources, professional networking, discounts on training and events, and free job postings or resume-bank listings. MPA also shares news, member spotlights, newsletters, and advocacy updates.
