Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary, established in 1996, is dedicated to the re-homing and care of unwanted animals. Adopting a compassionate no-kill policy, the sanctuary rescues approximately 650 cats and dogs annually, providing them with loving forever homes. Prior to adoption, each animal undergoes thorough health checks and receives vaccinations, neutering, and micro-chipping to ensure their well-being.

The sanctuary emphasizes the Five Domains of animal care, focusing on nutrition, health, behavior, environment, and mental well-being. They implement positive reinforcement training and provide daily enrichment activities that encourage natural behaviors, fostering both physical and mental health. In addition to facilitating adoptions, Mid Antrim offers long-term fostering for animals with special needs and hosts volunteering opportunities and community outreach programs.

Open for visitors on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the sanctuary encourages potential adopters to engage with the animals, bringing awareness to the importance of animal welfare. Support their mission through donations or by becoming a volunteer
