Middle Age Shred

Middle Age Shred is an online meeting place for adult skateboarders, especially people in their 30s and 40s who want to reconnect with skating and share memories of its earlier days. The community welcomes skaters of all ages and abilities, from those who remember the 1970s and 1980s skate scenes to people who have continued riding or discovered skateboarding more recently. Its tone is informal, nostalgic and fun, celebrating old-school boards and gear such as Kryptonics, Road Riders, Trackers, Fibreflexes, Vans and Benjyboards.

The site encourages members to get in touch with one another and arrange skate sessions, emphasizing that skating is for enjoyment rather than competition or skill. It also highlights how accessible skating can be, with more places to ride and adults able to travel and choose their own equipment. Middle Age Shred is not presented as a retailer or skateboarding service provider; its central offering is a welcoming community where adults can find like-minded skaters, exchange stories and get back on their boards.
