Middlebury Skatepark

The Middlebury Skatepark Project is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to bring a professionally designed concrete skatepark to the heart of Middlebury, Vermont. Its coalition includes skateboarders, scooter and BMX riders, roller skaters and inline skaters, parents, students, educators, community organizers, and local residents. In partnership with the Town of Middlebury and other community organizations, the group is advancing the park’s design, building public support, and raising funds for its construction.

The planned skatepark is intended to offer a welcoming, accessible place for people of varied ages and abilities to practice wheeled sports, gather, and take part in outdoor recreation. The project promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being, with a particular focus on youth and inclusive community participation. The organization also aims to steward the future facility as a clean, safe, and enjoyable space and support programming that expands recreation in Addison County. To further its work, the project shares updates through its newsletter and events, invites community input on park design, and raises support through donations and merchandise sales.
