Middle East Books and More is a vibrant initiative of the American Educational Trust, a non-profit organization established in 1982 by former U.S. Foreign Service Officers in Washington, DC. Dedicated to fostering understanding of Middle Eastern issues, this project offers an extensive array of products that includes books, gifts, and artisan crafts. The bookstore features literature on Palestine-Israel topics, cookbooks, children's literature, and rare books, emphasizing quality and informed perspectives on the region's complexities.
In addition to literature, Middle East Books and More also curates a unique selection of artisanal items, such as Fakhoury pottery, Palestinian tatreez (embroidery), and olive oil products, alongside prints, greeting cards, and homeware. This assortment not only celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Middle East but also supports local artisans through collaborations like the International Marketing for Middle Eastern Artisans. With a mission to enhance knowledge and appreciation of the region, Middle East Books and More stands as a vital resource for those seeking to explore Middle Eastern culture and politics.
