Middle Nene SC

Middle Nene Sailing Club is a friendly, member-run sailing club on Thrapston Sailing Lake in Northamptonshire. Sailing at the lake since 1947, the club welcomes people of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced racers. Its activities include competitive class and handicap racing for a wide range of dinghies and keelboats, as well as social sailing and regional open meetings. Racing takes place on weekends and selected evenings, with seasonal series running from spring through winter.

The club offers informal training and coaching led by experienced members, including beginner sessions, adult improver courses, youth sailing programmes and safety boat training. Taster sessions give newcomers an opportunity to try sailing before joining. Sailboards and stand-up paddleboards are also welcome outside club racing, subject to club guidance.

Members can make use of boat storage, a clubhouse, licensed bar, catering, showers, changing rooms and on-site camping. A varied social calendar complements the on-water programme, creating a family-oriented setting for sailing, learning and spending time together.
