Midland Mencap

Midland Mencap is an organisation that works and campaigns for accessible, inclusive services for people with learning disabilities. Its work spans support for individuals and families, community activities, and opportunities to participate in employment and volunteering.

The organisation offers housing, care and support, including domiciliary care and services to help people live with greater support in their communities. Its children’s and young people’s services provide assistance to young people and their families, while its carers service offers help, advice and family support. Midland Mencap also runs The Enterprise Hub, with social, leisure, sporting and vocational activities, and promotes opportunities through its employment services.

Alongside delivering services, Midland Mencap shares information and guidance for carers and families, and campaigns for more accessible provision. Its community includes sporting initiatives such as Midland Mencap F.C. The organisation also invites people to join its workforce, including in support worker and coordinator roles, and provides ways for the public to stay informed through news, newsletters and updates.
