About Midlands Air Ambulance Charity
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) is your local lifesaving hero. Serving the Midlands region of the UK, MAAC operates and funds three air ambulances covering six counties, including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, and the West Midlands. With an annual cost of £12 million to maintain the aircrafts and provide their vital service, every mission comes at an average cost of £2,950 for an air ambulance and £288 for a critical care car mission.
What makes MAAC even more remarkable is that it does not receive any funding from the Government or National Lottery. Instead, it relies entirely on the incredible support and generosity of local communities and businesses. Since 1991, MAAC has responded to over 70,000 missions, making them one of the busiest air ambulance services in the country.
With strategically located airbases at RAF Cosford in Shropshire and Strensham on the Worcestershire/Gloucestershire border, MAAC is always ready to provide life-saving assistance. Help MAAC continue their vital work by donating or supporting their campaigns, ensuring they can be there for those in need in our community
