Stephanie Willsey, a Rama First Nation lawyer, has taken on a new volunteer role with the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN). Growing up with little Indigenous representation in media, Willsey aims to uplift Indigenous voices and stories through her work with APTN. Apart from her legal achievements, including winning an $8-billion class-action lawsuit, Willsey plans to support Indigenous storytellers on the APTN board of directors.
Balancing her legal career with her new role, Willsey's dedication to showcasing Indigenous talents is evident. With the support of her community, Willsey hopes to set a positive example for Indigenous youth and encourage them to take on new opportunities.
