About Midlife Metabolic NP
Midlife Metabolic NP provides personalized weight-management support for women over 40, with plans designed around each person’s health, goals, and stage of life. Founded by Wauna Burge, MSN, NP-BC, a board-certified nurse practitioner, the practice offers compassionate, evidence-based guidance for metabolic health, sustainable habits, and long-term weight maintenance. Support is available with or without GLP-1 medication.
The practice offers four 12-week programs. The Midlife Metabolic Maintenance Method helps women establish a structured approach to weight management, whether or not they use medication. The Cold Stop Protocol supports those who have had to stop a GLP-1 unexpectedly. Transition & Maintain provides individualized planning for women considering a gradual medication reduction or transition. The Plateau Protocol offers evaluation and support when weight loss stalls during GLP-1 use. Medication eligibility is determined through clinical evaluation.
Across its programs, Midlife Metabolic NP helps clients assess their options, track progress, and adapt plans to their needs, including during medication changes and maintenance. The practice currently serves clients in Washington, Arizona, Oregon, and Florida.
