Midnight Star Pottery is a creative studio in Ways Station Shopping Center in Richmond Hill, Georgia, inviting visitors to bring their imagination and make art in a welcoming, hands-on setting. No prior experience is necessary, and the studio offers activities for adults and children, including pottery painting, clay work, and glass fusing.
For pottery painting, guests choose from pieces such as goblets, flower pots, figurines, and dinner plates, then select colors and designs. The studio glazes and kiln-fires each finished piece, which is generally ready for pickup in about a week. Glass fusing involves arranging decorative glass on a base; the studio fires the design to bond the pieces together. First-time glass artists are encouraged to attend a monthly class or call ahead to reserve a visit, and the activity is for ages eight and up.
Midnight Star Pottery also offers parties, wheel lessons, camps, and special-order items. Customers can contact the studio with requests or place a deposit for certain custom pieces.
