About Midori Farm
Midori Farm is a 29-acre organic farm in Quilcene, Washington, set in the fertile Quilcene Valley. The farm grows certified organic vegetables, garden seedlings, and the produce used to make its own fermented foods. Its vegetable selection has a particular focus on European and Asian varieties chosen for quality and performance in the farm’s growing system.
Midori Farm produces sauerkraut and kimchi through a carefully tended, gentle fermentation process using wild microorganisms from the farm and kitchen. Six varieties are made during the production season and are available year-round. The farm also offers more than 75 types of vegetable seedlings, companion plants, and culinary and medicinal herbs. Grown in bio-active potting soil in unheated greenhouses, the seedlings feature varieties selected for the Maritime Northwest climate.
Customers can find the farm’s produce at select locations and at its farmstand, which is open 24 hours a day. Midori Farm also offers a 25-week Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, with a 5% discount, and publishes a gardening guide covering more than 60 vegetables and herbs for the Salish Sea region.
