Mid Tipp Mart is a farmer-owned cooperative livestock market based in Ballycurrane, Thurles, serving Tipperary and surrounding counties. Run by farmers for farmers, it aims to give cattle sellers and buyers a fair platform for trading. The mart accommodates different types of stock and operates three active sales rings for most of the year.
Its sales calendar includes bullocks, bulls, cull cows and heifers on Mondays from January to mid-December, except the August Bank Holiday. Dairy cattle and suckler stock are sold every second Wednesday from February to May. Male and female calves are offered on Wednesdays during that period, then on Mondays in June, July and August. Male and female weanlings are sold on Wednesdays from September to December.
Mid Tipp Mart also provides online access to sales reports and prices, property listings, catalogue lists and a sales calendar. Customers can register to bid and follow sales via livestream. The mart can be contacted by phone or email for further information about its services and sales.
