Midvaal Local Municipality

Midvaal Local Municipality is a local government organisation focused on effective management, financial sustainability and creating an environment for growth. Its work combines essential municipal services with infrastructure investment and community development. Service areas include finance, engineering, roads, public safety, community services, corporate services, and development and planning. The municipality also shares information on budgets, performance, procurement, contracts, policies, by-laws, tariffs and its spatial development framework.

Residents can access municipal forms, applications, service information, notices, vacancies, library details and contact directories through the municipality’s website. Waste services include landfill and transfer station access, for which disposal permits are required. Current priorities highlighted by Midvaal include road maintenance and pothole repairs, water and electricity meter reading, cemetery capacity and upgrading gravel roads to tar. The municipality also works with businesses and community partners on social initiatives, including support for local charities and vulnerable residents. Through public events, public reporting and service-delivery updates, Midvaal communicates its projects and encourages residents to engage with local government.
