About MAPS
MAPS (Midwifery Association of Pakistan) is an organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the practice of midwifery in Pakistan. With members from all over the country, MAPS strives to establish the identity of midwives as qualified professionals, working towards the reduction of maternal morbidity and mortality. MAPS offers a range of services and resources in the field of midwifery and maternal and child health.
They provide training workshops for midwifery teachers and students, aiming to enhance their skills and knowledge. Additionally, MAPS publishes the latest peer-reviewed international research to ensure the safety, quality, and outcomes of pregnancy, birth, and maternity care for childbearing women and their families. Moreover, MAPS organizes events and celebrations such as International Day of the Midwife, bringing together nurses, midwives, and doctors to create awareness and advocate for better healthcare for women during pregnancy and childbirth.
