MIE

The Mauritius Institute of Education (MIE) is a public education institution established under the MIE Act of 1973, later amended in 1984. Its continuing mandates are teacher education, curriculum development and research, supporting the development of education in Mauritius. MIE provides undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, certificates and non-award courses. Its academic offerings are organized through schools covering education, science and mathematics, applied sciences, and arts and humanities. The institute also supports professional development for education personnel and provides information on programmes, examinations, timetables and student services.
