About Migration and Health in EECA
The Regional Expert Group (REG) on Migrant Health in Eastern Europe and Central Asia was established by civil society activists and researchers with a mission to improve the quality of life for migrants in the region. The group aims to ensure continuous access to healthcare services for mobile populations moving from their home countries to destination countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. REG members conduct research to assess the health situation of migrants and their access to healthcare services.
They engage in expert dialogues to foster cross-border cooperation between origin and host countries, leading to bilateral and multilateral agreements in migrant health.
