Mike Mahon is a New Mexico landscape artist whose oil and pastel paintings capture the light, color, and atmosphere of the American Southwest. Rooted in a family tradition connected to Taos and its historic art community, his work reflects a deep personal and artistic connection to Northern New Mexico. Mahon paints many landscapes en plein air, responding to changing conditions on location, and brings the spontaneity and lively character of outdoor painting into his studio work as well.

His artwork includes original landscape and figure paintings featuring Southwestern scenery and subjects. Collectors can also explore fine art prints, including limited-edition reproductions of selected works. Collections and featured paintings are available through his website, which presents art intended to bring a sense of place and story into homes and other environments.

In addition to creating and selling artwork, Mahon offers studio and instruction opportunities, workshops, and events. He is also an author, teacher, and inventor, sharing his experience and perspective on painting.
