Mikkelin Hautakivi

Mikkelin Hautakivi is a locally owned family business based in Rantakylä, Mikkeli, Finland, formerly known as Mikkelin Kiviveistämö. The company specializes in gravestones, designing and making each stone by hand to reflect customers’ wishes. It sells directly to customers and provides a complete service, from choosing and planning a memorial to manufacturing and installation. Its range includes traditional gravestones, natural-stone options, and reused or discounted stones for burial plots and urn gardens.

The company also cares for existing memorials. Services include adding engraved names, polishing stone surfaces, supplying memorial plaques, and restoring or refurbishing older gravestones. Mikkelin Hautakivi offers guidance with selecting a stone and help with practical arrangements related to purchasing or restoration. Visitors can explore nearly 100 model stones at its display, located at Ratatie 4 in Mikkeli. The business serves customers by appointment and can arrange visits flexibly, including outside standard office hours. Its gravestones are available directly from the company rather than through funeral homes.
