As a cooperative, MILA is owned and shaped by its members, who have a say in important decisions and work together to create the store's assortment. To provide high-quality products at reasonable prices, all members contribute 3 hours of work every 4 weeks, whether it's checking delivery invoices, stocking shelves, applying price labels, or working as cashiers.
MILA ensures fair and transparent prices, adding a 30% markup on the purchase price of all products in their minimarket to cover operational costs. This makes many products at MILA even more affordable than in traditional supermarkets. Currently operating as a minimarket in Ottakring, MILA is a meeting point for its members, offering a smaller selection of goods.
