Milam's Markets is a family-owned business that takes pride in offering the best quality products, extensive variety, and unparalleled service to its customers. As Miami's Family Grocer, they have always believed in the important role that a supermarket plays in the community, and they constantly strive to make a positive difference in their customers' lives. The brand's story goes way back to the early 1930s when Michael Gunner, the grandfather/great-grandfather, had a Farm and Implement store in Tupelo, Mississippi.

This passion for retail and serving the community was passed down to Thomas Milam, who married Joan, Michael's daughter. Thomas, known as Pop, served in the Air Corps during World War II and later ventured into the grocery industry. He worked his way up in management until he finally had the opportunity to fulfill his dream of returning to retail.

This led to the founding of Milam's Markets in 1984, with Allen, Pop's son, as his partner. With a strong emphasis on customer service, Milam's Markets treats everyone who walks through their doors like family. Over the years, they opened multiple stores in Miami and have built a team that includes Allen's siblings and their children.
