Milford Oyster Festival

The Milford Oyster Festival is a community event in downtown Milford, Connecticut, celebrating local seafood, live music, and the city’s longstanding connection to oystering. Established in 1975, the festival takes place at Fowler Field and brings visitors together for evenings of entertainment and food. Its annual program features locally sourced oysters from Milford’s Briarpatch Shellfish Company and Pearl’s Shellfish Farm, alongside a wide selection of food from vendors and trucks. Guests can also purchase beer, wine, and other beverages.

Live performances are a central part of the festival, with a varied lineup that includes local musicians, tribute acts, and touring performers. The event also offers amusement rides, with tickets or wristbands available. Admission is charged per evening, while children aged 13 and under enter free when accompanied by an adult. The festival supports oyster-shell recycling through CORR, the Collective Oyster Recycling and Restoration initiative. Visitors can find information about schedules, admission, transportation, parking, sponsorship opportunities, and volunteering through the festival’s website. The event is held rain or shine.
