Military Craftmanship CIO

Military Craftmanship CIO is a registered charity based in Richmond, North Yorkshire, created by veterans to support veterans and the wider local community. Its mission is to help people who have served in HM Forces build mental well-being, confidence, skills and a renewed sense of purpose as they adjust to life beyond military service. The charity uses woodworking and craftsmanship as practical, therapeutic activities, offering a safe and supportive place for veterans to learn, create and connect with others who share similar experiences.

Its workshops and woodworking courses cater to beginner and advanced levels, covering skills from basic carpentry to intricate wood carving. Participants can make handmade items, including furniture and carved pieces, and take pride in tangible achievements. Experienced woodworkers, including veterans, help guide the activities. The organization also features a gallery of veteran-made projects and an online shop. Community members can support its work through cash donations or by contributing tools, wood and fixings.
