The Millennium Cohort Study is a groundbreaking research project initiated by the Department of Defense in 2001. It was created in response to the growing public concern about the potential health effects of military deployments following the Vietnam and Gulf War conflicts. With over a quarter of a million service members enrolled since its inception, the Millennium Cohort Study is the largest and longest-running health study in military history.
