Million Pollinator Garden

The Million Pollinator Garden Challenge, initiated by the National Pollinator Garden Network, is a dynamic movement aimed at enhancing biodiversity through the establishment of pollinator-friendly gardens across the United States. With a remarkable achievement of registering over a million gardens, this initiative emphasizes the critical role pollinators play in our ecosystems—responsible for one out of every three bites of food. The challenge invites individuals, schools, community groups, and businesses to contribute by creating gardens of any size, from patio planters to expansive meadows.

Participants are encouraged to plant pollinator-friendly flora, support local nurseries that offer suitable plants and seeds, and reduce harmful pesticide usage to create healthy habitats. The initiative also offers resources, tips, and opportunities to register gardens via the MPGC/S.H.A.R.E map. Engaging educational activities are promoted to ignite enthusiasm among children and adults alike. By joining this movement and sharing experiences through social media, everyone can play a part in reviving pollinator populations for a sustainable future.
