Millstream Paediatrics

Millstream Paediatrics provides multidisciplinary assessment services for children and adolescents, bringing together paediatric, psychology, speech pathology and occupational therapy expertise. Its clinicians assess neurodevelopmental and learning concerns, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, global developmental delay, speech and language difficulties, intellectual disability and specific learning disorders. The team also offers screening for social-emotional and behavioural concerns, such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, mood changes, attentional difficulties and oppositional behaviour.

Assessments are individualised and follow national guidelines and recognised assessment processes. Where helpful, clinicians liaise with schools, daycare settings, specialists and other allied health professionals to build a broader understanding of a child’s needs and coordinate strategies across settings. Autism assessments may involve a clinical psychologist working with a paediatric medical practitioner; more complex cases can include a consensus team with a speech pathologist. Millstream also provides psychology support focused on children’s emotional and behavioural wellbeing. The practice accepts GP and paediatrician referrals for ADHD or autism psychological assessments.
