Milton Bushido Ryu

Milton Bushido-Ryu is a karate school based in Lowell, Michigan, serving students in Lowell and the Greater Grand Rapids community. It offers karate classes for people of all ages, with an emphasis on making instruction high quality, accessible, and affordable. The school presents its approach as a blend of traditional Okinawan martial arts teachings and concepts drawn from the Five Rings: Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, and Void. These principles help shape its defense styles and support a well-rounded system of practice.

Beyond physical training, Milton Bushido-Ryu incorporates the Bushido Code into its teaching. Students are encouraged to develop values including honor, respect, integrity, honesty, compassion, heroic courage, duty, and loyalty. The school’s focus therefore extends beyond learning karate techniques to personal development and character.
