The Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD) is the City of Milwaukee’s public safety service for fire prevention and suppression, rescue, and emergency medical care. Established on January 1, 1875, the department operates under the motto “Courage, Integrity and Honor” and is led by Chief Aaron D. Lipski.
