mimi Stiftung

The mimi Children’s and Senior Citizens’ Foundation is a charitable organization based in Munich that has supported people in need in the region since 2004. Its work focuses on children and young people facing difficult family circumstances, particularly orphans, while also helping seniors in hardship maintain a life at the level of basic subsistence. The foundation combines donations to established initiatives with projects of its own.

It funds a therapy position at the Sternstundenhaus, run by the Tabaluga Children’s Foundation in Peißenberg, and supports “mimi macht Mut,” which brings music, language and movement activities to kindergartens in and around Munich. At Dr. von Haunersches Children’s Hospital, “mimi macht Musik” offers music sessions to bring enjoyment and relaxation to young patients and their carers.

Its “mimi Camp” uses music to motivate patients with muscle disorders in activities involving breathing and movement. The foundation also runs a children’s art competition.
