Mindful Growth is a behavioral pediatrics medical practice in Anchorage, Alaska, led by Dr. Susan Beesley. The practice supports children ages 6 to 18 experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Dr. Beesley takes a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach, helping children understand their unique brains while supporting parents in recognizing their children’s strengths and resilience. She has a particular interest in Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and works collaboratively with families to develop solutions that help them thrive.

Care combines medication management with therapeutic strategies and mindfulness practices, including meditation. Mindful Growth is not a primary care practice and does not replace a child’s existing medical home. Families can register as new clients, while established clients can use the online portal to manage follow-up appointments. The practice also shares mental health and mindfulness resources through its blog and newsletter. Educational courses are currently on hold, with planned topics including mindful parenting, anxiety, strength-based ADHD management, and somatics. Mindful Growth emphasizes creative, collaborative care tailored to children and families.
