MindMyAngel is a Danish nonprofit association dedicated to helping families create a beautiful and dignified farewell when a child dies before, during or after birth. Founded by parents who have experienced the loss of a child, the organization recognizes how important it can be for families to spend time with their baby and make lasting memories during a profoundly difficult period.
MindMyAngel gives donated wedding dresses a new purpose. Volunteer seamstresses transform the gowns into items including coffin linings, emergency baptism gowns, wraps and covers for cooling cots. The association works with maternity wards throughout Denmark to make these carefully prepared items available to families and healthcare professionals. Its volunteers receive training and work in ongoing contact with the organization, while orders are coordinated to help ensure consistent quality.
People can support MindMyAngel by arranging to donate a wedding dress or by contributing financially. Dress donations must be agreed and registered before they are sent.
