Minerva Group

Minerva Group, n.o. is a research and development group bringing together promising students and doctoral candidates, primarily from the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology at the Slovak University of Technology in Trnava. Under academic leadership, the group explores emerging trends and research challenges in applied informatics and automation across different fields of use. It develops and pursues projects that give participants opportunities to apply their knowledge, build technical skills and gain experience beyond the scope of their regular studies.

Members can take part in research tasks, collaborative projects, conferences and team-building activities, gaining practical contact with science and teamwork along the way. Minerva Group supports this work with access to university laboratories, technical equipment and experienced leaders. Its activities include projects such as developing software and prototypes, including a student-built electric wheelchair controlled through facial expressions and thought-related signals. The group also shares its work through articles, media coverage and public activities.
