Mingary Care, based on the Sunshine Coast in QLD, is a compassionate and forward-thinking brand dedicated to providing end-of-life care and support to individuals in need. Originally planning to build a residential hospice in Buderim, they were met with challenges from the local council in early 2020, and the subsequent global COVID-19 pandemic prompted a strategic review of their vision. Recognizing the changing expectations and funding policies, they have developed a new service model focusing on in-home palliative care services.

Mingary Care has partnered with Palliative Care Queensland (PCQ) for consultancy support during the pilot phase of their new care model. PCQ offers expertise in consultation, codesign, and best practice information, as well as delivering PalliLEARN education for the Mingary Care community. Mingary Care is also collaborating with selected universities for research, evaluation, education, training, student placement, and work experience opportunities.
