MiniMac is a family-oriented breeder of miniature schnauzers based in Winfield, Iowa. Founded from a longstanding personal love of the breed, the program has been raising puppies for 33 years and focuses on producing quality miniature schnauzers for family homes. MiniMac says its dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), the American Purebred Registry (APR), or both.
Puppies have their tails docked and dew claws removed, while their ears are left natural. Before going to their new homes, puppies are current on worming and shots and are sent with a bag of the puppy food they have been eating to help ease the transition. MiniMac sells directly to families and does not sell to pet shops or brokers or ship puppies.
The website provides information about available and sold puppies, the dogs who are parents, and customer testimonials. Owner Jeryl McArtor welcomes calls from prospective families and offers to answer questions, reflecting the breeder’s stated commitment to fair, honest relationships with customers
