Ministry is an Auckland-based architecture and interiors practice with a five-generation history of designing and delivering projects in New Zealand and internationally. The studio brings together expertise in master planning, urban design, architecture and interior design, taking projects from early concepts through to completion. Its approach is collaborative and client-focused, combining sector knowledge, practical delivery capability and thoughtful design to turn complex briefs into commercially viable places.
Ministry works across healthcare and aged care, community and recreation, residential, education, commercial and interiors. Its projects include school campuses, housing and care environments, workplaces, hospitality venues and public gathering spaces. The practice considers each project’s operational needs, regulatory context, stakeholders and setting, while aiming to create spaces that are functional, welcoming and connected to their communities. Examples include a culturally grounded school masterplan in Northland, a compact Auckland bar shaped by careful spatial planning, and a senior living development arranged as human-scaled villas.
