It serves as a positive platform, supporting grieving individuals by offering a warm, beautiful, and user-friendly digital solution that keeps memories of departed loved ones alive.

In addition to preserving memories, the website also provides valuable information on funerals and other related topics. Minningar. is was created by three students studying software engineering at HR, who decided to continue and expand their final project to offer a memorial and bereavement service to the Icelandic community.

With the support of Tennin ehf., a venture capital company, Minningar ehf. was established to manage the project. The team received significant assistance from Hugsmiðjan, a leading web agency, which contributed to shaping the idea and brand, as well as providing design and technical advice.

Individuals with expertise in web and content management, advertising, communications, and project management also joined the project. With the collaboration of filmmakers Árni and Kinski, and renowned photographer Ari Magg, Minningar. is has created captivating promotional material that will be used for TV, social media ads, as well as website visuals.
