Mint Communities is an Edmonton-based organization focused on making communities healthier through community initiatives, health and social programs, and partnerships. It works with non-profits, businesses, governments, and health organizations to support causes that matter to Albertans.
The organization provides affordable housing alongside medical and socioeconomic support. What began as a housing initiative for 20 people facing complex challenges and housing instability has grown into a broader system of support. Its programs also include HOPE, the Hepatitis C Outreach Program for Micro-elimination, developed in partnership with AbbVie. HOPE offers wrap-around medical and health supports to marginalized people living with, or at high risk of acquiring, hepatitis C.
Mint Communities also operates the ACE Team, a pharmacist-led, multidisciplinary outreach service created to address gaps in care for people experiencing health and social inequity. The team supports vulnerable individuals with complex needs, including substance use disorders, mental health concerns, HIV, and hepatitis. Through its housing, outreach, community programs, events, and collaborations, Mint Communities aims to improve lives and strengthen local communities.
