About Mireon
Mireon Spatial Technologies Inc. is a Toronto-based company that builds and supports confined-space mapping drones in Canada. Its MIR 1 drone is designed to inspect and map locations that are difficult or unsafe for people to enter, including mine shafts, utility tunnels, tank interiors, boilers, stacks, cooling towers, penstocks, and construction structures.
The compact aircraft measures 350 × 350 × 240 mm with its protective cage and weighs 2. 25 kg; its arms and cage fold for transport in a single case. It can fly for at least 21 minutes and operates without GPS, using LiDAR, stereo vision, time-of-flight, and inertial sensing to create high-accuracy 3D models.
Mireon reports accuracy of up to 2 cm at 10 metres and a cold-weather rating of −10 °C. The MIR 1 serves survey and mapping firms, mining, municipal utilities, construction and infrastructure, and power generation. Its mapping data is available on site after landing, supporting faster inspection and measurement without repeated access setup.
Mireon also provides delivery, training, and support from its Canadian team
