About Instituto Milenio de Investigación en Óptica
Instituto Milenio de Investigación en Óptica, MIRO, is a center dedicated to scientific research in the areas of Quantum Light, Optical Communication, and New Light Sources. MIRO, the Millenium Institute for Research in Optics, is funded by Chile's Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation through the Millennium Scientific Initiative of ANID. Operating from five Chilean universities - the University of Concepción, the University of Chile, the University of Santiago, the University of Los Andes, and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile - we conduct both theoretical and experimental science.
Our research focuses on the excellence of light phenomena, optical communication, and quantum computing. From Quantum Light to Optical Networks and Patterns, our investigations delve into the fundamental properties and applications of optics.
