Misericordia di Antrodoco

The Confraternita di Misericordia di Antrodoco is a volunteer-led nonprofit association serving people in Antrodoco and beyond. Authorized by the Lazio Region in 2002 and registered in the regional register of nonprofit volunteer organizations, it provides practical health and community support through its volunteers.

Its services include non-emergency patient transport by ambulance for medical visits, tests and hospital admissions. Occasional transport can be requested by phone and is available across Italy; the association directs people facing serious emergencies to call 118. Volunteers also provide medical assistance at sporting, cultural and religious events, support people experiencing hardship, and lend health aids such as crutches, folding wheelchairs and walkers for a limited period.

The association additionally organizes events, outings and religious pilgrimages open to the public. Its volunteer theatre company performs in local dialect, offering entertainment while supporting the group’s community activities. People can get involved as volunteers or contribute through donations and Italy’s five-per-thousand tax allocation. Contributions help maintain and improve equipment, including ambulances, defibrillators, medicines and other supplies.
