Misfit Haven Animal Rescue

Misfit Haven Animal Rescue is a nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue and state-licensed 501(c)(3) adoption center based in Rome, Georgia. Since 2010, the organization has placed more than 3,900 dogs in homes. Its mission is to rescue adoptable dogs from high-kill animal control facilities within Georgia and prevent their needless euthanasia. Misfit Haven cares for dogs while seeking suitable permanent homes, guided by a commitment to compassion, respect, and animal well-being.

The organization offers dog adoptions, with available dogs listed by sex, and welcomes visitors at its Rome rescue facility. It also supports adoptions at a Petco location in Marietta. Misfit Haven works with animal shelters in several Georgia communities, including Etowah Valley, Murray County, Fulton County, Catoosa County, and Whitfield County, as well as veterinary partners Dixie Day Spay and West Rome Animal Hospital. The rescue aims to educate the public, schools, and surrounding communities about spaying and neutering companion animals. Donations support its work, and people can help by contributing, following, and sharing its updates.
