Misfits Grappling Club

Misfits Grappling Club LLC is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, serving beginners, experienced students, and competitors in a safe, clean training environment. The club specializes in Tenth Planet Jiu-Jitsu, a no-gi approach inspired by Master Eddie Bravo, and welcomes children, teens, and adults. Its instructors include Sawyer Buttweiler, a brown belt, and Tyler Ockenga, a purple belt.

Programs include classes for young children, kids’ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, youth competition training, and adult and teen instruction. Students can choose no-gi classes or adult gi training, with sessions that combine organized warmups and technique lessons. Adult and teen classes are designed to support fitness, self-improvement, self-defense, and participation in the sport, with opportunities for live sparring. The schedule also includes morning training, lunchtime sessions, and dedicated sparring rounds. Misfits offers a supportive community where people at different experience levels can learn, develop their grappling skills, and grow on and off the mat.
