Natasha Lambert is a disabled sailor and adventurer based in Cowes, Isle of Wight, the home of British sailing. Born with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, she has built a sailing career through determination and a willingness to take on challenges that many might consider impossible. Her story began with a first sailing experience at age nine, and the sport has since had a life-changing impact on her. Natasha’s work also promotes affordable sailing tuition for young people with physical disabilities, including the use of the sip-and-puff method that she sails with herself.
The website shares her profile, sailing journey, boats, photographs and updates on past and planned challenges. These include the Round the Island, French Connection, Sea and Summit, Capital Venture, Scotland and Ireland challenges, as well as an Atlantic crossing. Natasha’s catamaran, Blown Away, a Nautitech Open 46, was selected for its stability and space to support her sailing. She is planning further ocean crossings, including the Panama and Pacific, and welcomes people interested in supporting future projects.
