Misskey Hub

Misskey is a free, open-source social networking software project that helps individuals, communities, and organizations create and operate their own social platforms. Launched in 2014 and developed by a small volunteer team, it is not a social network service itself, but the software for building one. Misskey supports ActivityPub, connecting servers to the wider Fediverse and enabling interaction with other compatible platforms.

Operators can create public networks, private company spaces, community hubs, or personal servers. The software includes posts called Notes, media and file sharing, polls, reactions, custom emojis, topic-based channels, keyword-filtered timelines, and detailed privacy and moderation controls. Server owners can customize branding, themes, roles, and permissions, while built-in charts and monetization options support ongoing management.

Misskey also provides installation and setup guides, documentation, a server directory, and development resources. Its technical features include an HTTP API, real-time connections, push notifications, scalable infrastructure, and multiple search options. The project remains freely available to use, modify, and distribute, and invites community contributions and donations to support continued development.
