MissMatilda is a Munich-based design label founded in 2011 by Stefanie Hüther, a trained interior decorator and film and television prop stylist. The brand creates individually personalized wall objects, combining careful craftsmanship with distinctive colors, materials and contemporary design. Each piece is handmade to order, allowing customers to choose a shape and select fabrics for its front and sides.
The collection includes the alphabet in classic Helvetica lettering, as well as hearts, stars, lightning bolts, clouds, speech bubbles, ampersands, peace signs, “OMG” and “BIRDY.” Materials include upholstery fabrics from ROMO and JAB, patterned children’s fabrics, neon grosgrain ribbon and vegan leather. Customers can choose an existing design or create their own combinations, with personal guidance available from Stefanie.
MissMatilda’s versatile wall pieces can decorate children’s rooms or gallery walls, and can also serve as key holders or displays for jewelry. Products are available through the brand’s Etsy shop and selected Munich retailers, including Lilly et Milou and Curtis & Curtis.
