Missouri River Fly Fishing

David Payne Outdoors, LLC is a Montana outfitter offering professional guided fly-fishing trips and instruction on the Missouri River. Serving anglers since 1995, the company operates in the Craig area and provides experiences for individuals, pairs, and corporate groups. Guided drift-boat trips let guests fish selected river stretches, with guides choosing routes according to conditions, angler experience, and fishing pressure. Trips generally last six to nine hours, and a local shuttle helps return guests to their starting point or lodging.

Each trip includes a full-sized drift boat, required safety equipment, flies and tackle, and quality rods and reels for guests to use. Streamside lunch, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages are also provided. David Payne Outdoors’ guides are personally selected for their local knowledge and ability to teach, making the service suitable for anglers who want to refine their skills as well as those seeking a day on the water. The company also arranges corporate outings and retreats, tailoring group experiences to participants’ needs.
