Mitchell Fair

Mitchell Fair is the annual community event organized by the Mitchell & District Agricultural Society in Mitchell, West Perth, Ontario. Established in 1854, it describes itself as “The Biggest Little Fair in Ontario” and welcomes visitors for a weekend of agricultural tradition, local creativity, and family entertainment. The 172nd Mitchell Fall Fair is scheduled for September 4–6, 2026, under the theme “Fallin’ Into Fun.”

The fair offers events and activities across the weekend, with programming that includes a demolition derby, tractor pull, baby show, and opportunities to enter competitions. Participants can submit exhibits through the online entry portal or use the fair prize book to review categories, rules, and registration details. The society also coordinates food and product concessions, vendor participation, sponsorships, and a fair bus route. Volunteers help prepare and run the event, while the organization shares updates and results through its website and social media. Its site also provides information about the Crystal Palace, including rentals and renovation projects, and connects visitors with fair grounds details and practical planning information.
