MK Act is a Milton Keynes charity supporting people affected by domestic abuse. For more than 45 years, it has helped individuals and families move towards safety and a fresh start, working with over 100 families each day. Its services are available to anyone aged 16 and over in Milton Keynes, regardless of background or circumstances.

MK Act provides crisis intervention, confidential guidance and help accessing essential services. For people escaping abuse, the charity offers emergency refuge accommodation for up to 28 families, along with specialist support for children and young people. Its support programmes are delivered both in refuge and in the wider community, including the Fresh Start programme. People can seek help by phone, email or webchat, and can connect with an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor through instant messaging.

The charity also shares resources on staying safe, referrals, legal help and local support. MK Act relies on community involvement to sustain its work, welcoming donations of money and goods, fundraising, volunteering, training and corporate partnerships.
